To day I was working in a new session which called requisition were we had to coordinate the document that include the patient information. requesition a paper that have the the patient information so if the person have full information they might hire him or her.

SVH BUILDING ELEVATOR

I'am working in SVH for a while everyday I go there I know that the building have fourteen floor but I never pay attention to see if there all in service on wednesday March 26th when Mr Andrew go to our internship he asking me for the thirteenth floor I was suprise to see that it was not there then I was curious to know what happened to it then my coworker tell me theat it just closed and replaced by the fourteenth one. happy Mr Andre dat 4 u.

this day was a very exiting day for me because we was only xerox how ever it was not easy at all we have to standind in front of the machine to make the copies but it was ok. and the most important part was when Mr Andrew was visiting our intership site I was so exiting because our mentor told us that when she was talking to Mr John she told him that she won't take no more people but cause of our attitude she won't have any problem to take more people from our school next year. specially the way we are quite.

Today my work was a kind of similar i was making copies and filling more document. we finished early and asking to help with other things just pass the time,then they gives us some mail we have to stamp the letters.

Today I was working in an other office in a session called microfiche.microfiche it's a kind of cabinet to coordinate all of the patient document in the other hand it's the storage of small spaces. it's was not hard at all but it was a bit bored because it was alot of work.

PHILADELPHIA TRIP

SUNY NEW PALTZ

The SUNY NEW POLTZ trip was a very exited and fun moment for every junior students who went there on tuesday. It was a really great experience and also a faboulus oportunity for us. We left early on the morning but it's takes us a couples hours to get there, however it was a opportunity for us to see how life in campus look like and learned new stuff. when we firt arrive they give some power point presentation to have a back ground about the campus,as what king of program do they have. they have a program which is a kind of grant to support students who need financial help. Then we meet some college students they explain us a lot of things about their experiences. The most imteresting moment for me was at the end we all go on the cafeteria they have on the campus and we eat food in our choice.

Third week assignment.

Describe one significant activity or project that you have completed or are working on currently.

I don't really have a lot of different activities, because my site work is in the office as you know all of the offices the works are almost similar,this is what you will find in an office:a computer,fax machine, xiroc machine which is the copy machine we to make copies, file, organizing paper in alphabetic order in cabinet, folder or somewhere else, fixing file in the cabinet, answer phone but in my case I don't have to answer the phone, and also things always need to stay organize. since the first week when went there we were doing such activities as faxing,put in order folders making new file like organize the paper that include every patient information of the human ressources session. Recently our project is coordnate the paper in alphabetial order. the most importing part in filling is know the alphabetical order in some case last name go's firt but sometimes a person could have three or four names you should know wich one to use.

Second week assignment.

The work that I do for the second week are almost similar to the one from the first week, it's all about filling, organize fille in many places as cabinet, in different folders, distribute theim into packages, and makes new fille.

How was it different than the first week?

The second week was a bit different than the first week because first of all it was the first impresion, I was a bit frustrated cause there are a lot of people and there was all new for me. And also while you working in a proffessional area you should always try your best to do what you have to do in a right way.

What is something that you really like about the internship?

Something that I really like about the intrnship is the way everyone being nice and friendly to me they all respectful to us, specially my coworker Jane Vassil she is really nice she always have a gift to give me and Gisette.
Another thing is learnig proffessional attitude and other stuff.

What is something you dislike about the internship?
Something I dislike is being bored by doing work without resting, then after working we should wait until someone come to swip a card to go upstairs cause we does not have the card.

What is it?
My internship is working in a hospital.

What kind of business is it and what kind of work do the professionals do there?
In st vincent hospital they there are many buildings butI 'am in a specific place,the professionas are working in human ressources.

Where is it?
St Vincent hospital is atb153 west 11 street 10011 in Manhattan.

Tell a little about your mentor.
My mentor is a cool person but very strict at the same time she whant everything to go in order. she also would like to see us makes success and make her pride by diong good work.

What happened on the first day?
The first day of my internship I meet a lot of people and using the xerox machine to do copy of a bid book.

What kinds of things have you done so far?
during the first week I have done a lot of new activities AS: coordinate papers which is filing use the xerox machine to make copy, MAKES NEW FILE,FIXING PAPER IN ORDER in the folder sometimes makes PACKEGES.

Tell a little about yourself. :

My name's kermide,I'am from Haiti,I've been in US for two years in some months. I'm currently a junior at International high School, and am going to be starting internships this tuesday.

What did you learn in the junior internship seminar class up to this point? :

During the junior internship seminar we learn a bronch of things that related specially about "how we could get ready for college. We also learn how to write our resume and prepared for an interview.

What is your greatest fear about internship?

My biggest fear is "how would it be for me to meet and adapted with the new peple ,get connected easily and being able to do the work that woud be avalleble.

What is your greatest hope for the internship?

All of my hope is to be able to complete my assignment, get connected with the coworker easilly, gain great experiences suprise my mentor by doing exellent work in order to walk out with letter of recommendation.

What is your internship site and what are you going to do there? If you do not know, what do you think you will be doing?

I will be working in a hospital(in the office) diong work as filing faxing.ect

What will you miss about going to high school as you normally did for the last 2.5 years?

I will be missing all of my freinds and the after school activities.
